Terms of Use

These terms explain what Freedom Checkup is, what you can expect from it, and what we ask of you in return. Please read them before using the Service.

Last Updated11 October 2026

01Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Freedom Checkup website, assessment, dashboard and reports (together, the “Service”). They should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

By creating an account, starting an assessment, paying for an unlock, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, and that you are legally able to enter into them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You should read these Terms together with the Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it.

02About Freedom Checkup

Freedom Checkup is a self-assessment tool. You answer a short series of questions about your income, expenses, savings, debts, protection and goals, and the Service uses those answers to calculate and display an estimated “Freedom Age” — the age at which your projected savings could, on the assumptions shown, sustainably cover your living costs — together with a financial health score, projections, insights and a downloadable report.

The core assessment and its calculations run in your web browser. The Service also offers a paid one-time unlock of your full report, and a self-guided 21-day programme that helps you track daily spending, saving and investing habits.

Freedom Checkup is an educational and informational product. The distinction between what the Service does and what a qualified professional does is important, and is set out in the financial disclaimer below.

03Eligibility

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over who have an income and financial circumstances they wish to assess. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract.

The Service is currently designed for users resident in India whose financial figures are in Indian rupees (₹). Figures in other currencies are not supported and will produce misleading results.

Not for everyone

The Service is not suitable if you are looking for regulated, personalised financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, or if you need a suitability assessment for a specific financial product. Please see the financial disclaimer below.

04Your account and authentication

You can complete the assessment without an account. In that case your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us, and the report is only available on the device and browser you used. See the Privacy Policy for the exact storage involved.

An account is required to save a report, unlock it, or use the 21-day programme. Accounts are created with an email address and password, or through Google sign-in. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which stores your account credentials on our behalf; the Company never receives your password in a readable form.

  • Keep your credentials private. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
  • Passwords must be kept strong. The Service asks for a password of at least eight characters containing a letter and a number. We recommend a unique password and, where available, the password manager built into your browser.
  • One person, one account. You may not create multiple accounts to share a single paid unlock across users.

You may sign out at any time using the account menu. Signing out clears the session from your device but does not by itself delete stored reports; see the Privacy Policy for how your data is stored and how to have it deleted.

05The financial assessment

The assessment asks for information such as your name, date of birth, marital status, monthly income and working pattern, housing and living costs, other loan repayments and debt, savings and investments, insurance cover, and your goals. The assessment saves your progress as you go, so you may leave and return.

The Service does not connect to your bank accounts, and never asks for bank login credentials, card details, account numbers, UPI identifiers, PINs or OTPs. If any page asking for such information claims to be Freedom Checkup, it is not us — please report it to us and do not continue.

All calculations are produced by our own calculation engine, which runs on your device. The figures are estimates produced from the answers you supply and the fixed assumptions described in your report. They are not an audit, a statement of account, or a valuation of anything.

06Information you provide

You are solely responsible for the information you enter. By submitting answers you confirm that the information is yours to provide, that it is not knowingly false, and that submitting it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

You should not enter information about another person unless you have their permission, and you should not enter confidential information belonging to your employer, a client or any other third party.

Where you choose to type free-text answers — for example in the daily check-ins of the 21-day programme — please do not include account numbers, identity documents, passwords or the personal data of other people. Free-text answers are stored with your account and are visible to us.

07Your results and reports

The Freedom Age, health score, projections, insights, roadmap and Freedom Plan report are generated from your answers using the methodology shown in the report itself, including fixed assumptions about investment growth, inflation, income growth and the withdrawal rate. Assumptions may be changed in future versions of the Service, which may change your results without any change to your inputs.

Results are calculated for the answers given and for the moment they are calculated. They are not continuously updated as markets, incomes or circumstances change, and they do not account for anything you have not told us. A result is not a forecast of a particular outcome.

Your Freedom Plan is generated as a PDF inside your browser and downloaded directly to your device. The Service does not store the PDF file itself; the copy you keep is the one saved on your device. If you delete it or lose your device, we can regenerate it from your stored answers, but we cannot return a file we never held.

08Important financial disclaimer

Educational information only

Freedom Checkup provides educational and informational financial insights and calculations only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a personal recommendation to buy, hold or sell any financial product or to follow any course of action. Nothing in the Service should be treated as a recommendation tailored to your circumstances.

The results depend entirely on the accuracy of the information you enter and on general assumptions. Markets can move against you, income and expenses can change unexpectedly, and past or projected performance does not indicate future results. The figures shown are estimates, not guarantees.

The disclaimer that also appears on your Freedom Plan report reads as follows, and applies equally to everything on this site: “This Freedom Checkup is an educational estimate, not investment advice or a guarantee of future results. Projections depend on the assumptions shown in this report (returns, inflation, income growth, withdrawal rate) and your inputs; actual market returns and personal circumstances will differ, sometimes significantly. Figures are in nominal rupees and rounded for readability. Consider consulting a SEBI-registered investment adviser before making financial decisions based on this report.”

Nothing in the Service creates an adviser, client, fiduciary or agency relationship between you and the Company. Where you need advice, please consult a qualified professional — for example a SEBI-registered investment adviser, a chartered accountant for tax matters, or a lawyer — before making financial decisions.

09Accuracy of the information you provide

We rely on the answers you give. We do not verify them and we cannot check them against any bank, employer or other record. If your answers are inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, your results will be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and the Service will not have been at fault.

You should re-take the assessment, or edit your answers, whenever your income, expenses, debt, savings or goals change materially. Because the 21-day programme records daily entries against a specific paid report, deliberately altering answers after the fact may make your progress history inconsistent.

10Payments and the report unlock

The full report and dashboard are unlocked with a one-time payment of ₹99 per assessment. This is a single payment. There is no subscription, no membership and no automatic renewal, and we will not charge your card again unless you separately choose to pay for something else.

Payment is taken through Razorpay’s hosted checkout page. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered on Razorpay’s own secure page and never pass through the Service; the Service receives only the payment reference, and stores that reference, the payment status and the date of payment against your assessment so we can confirm the purchase. Razorpay acts as an independent payment provider and is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

An unlock applies only to the specific assessment it was paid for. It is not a user-wide or lifetime entitlement, and it does not transfer between accounts.

We confirm payment server-side before unlocking a report, and verify that the payment was received, captured and for the correct amount and currency. Very occasionally a payment may be confirmed by our payment provider slightly after your confirmation screen appears; if that happens the unlock is applied automatically in the background and you do not need to pay again.

Prices are shown in Indian rupees and may change in future. The price displayed at the point of purchase is the price that applies to that purchase.

11Retakes and separate payments

Starting a new assessment creates a new, separate assessment with its own answers, results, payment and unlock state. A previous payment never carries over to a new assessment.

  • Each new assessment that you want to unlock requires its own ₹99 payment.
  • Your existing paid report stays available in your dashboard and history after you start a new one.
  • The 21-day programme is anchored to one paid report. It uses the progress of that single assessment, and a new assessment begins a separate history.

Re-taking is free

Completing a new assessment, and seeing the free preview of your results, costs nothing. The ₹99 applies only when you choose to unlock a report.

12Refunds and cancellation

Because the Freedom Checkup assessment, the Freedom Age calculation, the dashboard and the Freedom Plan report are delivered to you immediately and are generated specifically from the answers you provide, our refund position is [REFUND POLICY — TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE BUSINESS].

If your payment succeeded but a report has not unlocked, do not pay again. Contact us using the details in the Contact us section below and we will investigate and either complete the unlock or resolve the payment.

Where a refund is granted, any amount returned will be refunded to the original payment method. Bank or payment-provider processing times may apply and are outside our control.

If you have a question about a payment before you buy, please ask us first using the contact details below. [REFUND POLICY — TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE BUSINESS]

13Intellectual property

The Service — including its name, logo, design, text, the Freedom Checkup question set, the calculation engine, the scoring methodology, the dashboard, the report layouts and all software and source code — is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. [REGISTERED TRADEMARK / IP OWNER, IF APPLICABLE]

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, and to download a copy of your report for your own records. That licence does not permit copying, redistributing, reverse engineering, scraping or commercially exploiting the Service or its contents.

Your answers, your results and your downloaded report remain yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your data to us; see the Privacy Policy for the limited rights we need to process and store it.

All brand names, logos and third-party names used in the Service remain the property of their respective owners.

14Prohibited use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, or in breach of these Terms or the Privacy Policy.
  • Enter information you do not have the right to enter, or that infringes anyone’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to access any account, assessment, report or data that is not yours, or to circumvent, probe or test the security of the Service.
  • Misuse the Service to harass, abuse, harm or defraud anyone, or to send unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Copy, resell, sublicense, scrape, rebrand, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service, except where that use is expressly permitted in writing.
  • Introduce malicious code, or interfere with, disrupt, overload or degrade the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Use automated systems to scrape the Service or create assessments at a rate that degrades it for others.
  • Represent that the Service provides regulated financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, or hold yourself out as a regulated adviser using it.
  • Use the Service on behalf of another person, or share a single account or paid unlock between multiple people.

We may restrict or suspend access, without notice where a serious risk exists, if we reasonably believe you have breached this section or are using the Service to cause harm.

15Third-party services

The Service relies on a small number of third-party providers. They operate under their own terms, and those terms apply to you in addition to these Terms:

  • Supabase — account authentication and our database. Their processing of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Razorpay — payment processing. Your payment is made on Razorpay’s hosted checkout, under Razorpay’s terms and privacy policy.

We do not control these providers and are not responsible for their availability, security or content. Because our results are generated in your browser, a browser or payment-provider failure will simply stop that part of the Service from working.

16Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times. We may suspend or withdraw all or part of the Service, and may change, suspend or discontinue any feature, including the assessment, the dashboard, the report or the 21-day programme, at any time and without notice.

Because much of the calculation runs on your own device, a result depends partly on your browser and connection. We support current versions of major modern browsers; older or unsupported browsers may not work.

17Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit, income, savings or opportunity, any loss of data or goodwill, or any business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we were advised such loss was possible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. [ANY LIABILITY CAP REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW]

Where liability cannot be excluded, the Company’s total aggregate liability to you in respect of all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to [LIABILITY CAP — AMOUNT TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE BUSINESS].

You are responsible for deciding whether the results are a suitable basis for any decision you make, and for consulting a qualified professional before you act.

18Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Service, our products or the law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.

If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to bring it to your attention — for example by highlighting it on this page or in the Service. [HOW MATERIAL CHANGES WILL BE NOTIFIED, E.G. EMAIL OR IN-APP NOTICE]

Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you should stop using the Service and, if you have an account, close it.

19Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and close your account at any time, by contacting us using the details in the Contact us section below.

We may suspend or terminate your access, and delete your account, if you materially breach these Terms or the Privacy Policy, if you use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently, or if required by law. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem first.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature should survive it, including payment obligations you have already incurred and our confidentiality and liability obligations. [WHETHER REFUNDS ARE CONSIDERED ON TERMINATION — SEE REFUND POLICY]

To request deletion of your account and its data, follow the process set out in the Privacy Policy.

20Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — JURISDICTION TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE BUSINESS], and the courts at [EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION — TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE BUSINESS] have exclusive jurisdiction. [DISPUTE RESOLUTION / ARBITRATION CLAUSE, IF APPLICABLE]

This clause does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights or the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence that cannot lawfully be waived.
